Journal of quartermaster sergeant Carl Philipp Steuernagel and tagebuch of Chaplain Philipp Waldeck of the 3rd Waldeck regiment [manuscript], 1776-1785.

Steuernagel describes the departure from Germany, voyage to America, battle of Fort Washington and engagements in the New Jersey campaign, voyage to Jamaica and Florida and the surrender of Pensacola. He briefly describes a later expedition to Holland and comments on injustices in the German military system.
